It hits my soft spot to write these words. Notwithstanding its shortcoming as barrier to free passage, I will enjoy myself ascending the steps. On entering an edifice, I imagine how, in an old fashion way, it lifts my mood and anticipation. It captures the light, and stands out as a beautiful object by itself. There is nothing better treat in this world than giving me a grand staircase!
